Innosign is proud to be part of the new IDEAL project – Increasing Health Literacy for Deaf Adults through Innovative Methodologies. This Erasmus+ funded initiative aims to address the lack of accessible health information for the Deaf community across Europe.

The IDEAL project will develop educational materials and methodologies tailored to deaf adults, including:

• a comprehensive guide for educators on health literacy
• a blended learning programme combining innovative interactive methods
• outreach videos produced by deaf adults in sign language
• a web platform with all materials and videos designed to be accessible
• educational events for health professionals on communication with deaf patients

By creating targeted resources and training in sign language, IDEAL seeks to empower deaf adults to make informed decisions about their health. This contributes to greater social inclusion, improved well-being and better health outcomes.

We are delighted to be working with partner organisations from Slovakia, Italy, Spain, the Czech Republic and Hungary on this influential new initiative. The IDEAL project is co-funded by Erasmus+ and will run from 2023 to 2025.
